In sprint finishes, milliseconds matter—and convention won’t get you the win. While most assume a deeper rear wheel is faster, the Roval team challenged that norm. Over three years, they studied the anatomy of a sprint - starting from the final kilometer at 50kph, through the acceleration phase hitting 55 to 65kph, reaching top speed around 66–67kph, and finishing with the all-out throw for the line. Their research proved that a deeper front wheel delivers a critical aerodynamic advantage - gaining up to 18 centimeters in a 250-meter sprint. In a sport where victories are measured in millimeters, that margin is everything.
